1966 – The Beginning

Sharada Mandir School was established in Panaji, behind the Head Post Office, Goa, marking a pioneering step towards delivering quality education in the region. In 1968 we moved to its permanent location at Miramar expanding an area of 14000 sq. mtrs.

2003 – Visionary leadership

Sharada Mandir School, Miramar, entered a new era under the leadership of Mr. Dattaraj Salgaocar, embracing innovation and holistic education while honouring its rich legacy.

2010 – Learning with compassion

The school deepened its community engagement through meaningful associations with organizations such as the National Association for the Blind, along with outreach initiatives to orphanages and senior care homes—instilling empathy, responsibility, and social awareness in students. The school worked collaboratively to support students’ academic progress, emotional well-being, social development, and individual learning needs by providing guidance, interventions, inclusive instruction, and advocacy—helping every learner reach their full
potential.

2013 – A new chapter at the Miramar campus with introduction of stds.11 & 12

After considerable research and thoughtful planning, the Miramar campus initiated the Indian Secondary Certificate (ISC) section in the school, with three streams-Humanities, Commerce and Science. A young and dynamic faculty and a vibrant environment made the section highly sought after for the students of ICSE board as well as the CBSE, IGCSE, NIOS and State-board curriculums.

2016 – Miramar school’s 50th Anniversary

The year 2016 marked a significant milestone in the history of the school as it celebrated its 50th anniversary with a series of meaningful and vibrant events. The commemorative events began with a solemn Memorial Service, where the school community gathered to pay tribute to the founders, past leaders, teachers, and all those who have contributed to the institution’s growth over the years. A Special Sports Day, inspired by the spirit of the Paralympics, showcased inclusivity, perseverance, and sportsmanship. The celebrations culminated in a grand Alumni Meet, which brought together former students from across generations.

2021 – A new chapter: Kadamba campus at Goalim Moula on the Kadamba plateau

Expanding its footprint, Sharada Mandir School established its second campus on the Kadamba plateau. Spread across 15,500 sq. mtrs., the campus features a football ground, atrium, and other modern facilities which will includes a basketball court & cricket pitch in the near future. With state-of-the-art infrastructure and digitally enabled learning environments, the school extended its legacy of excellence to a wider community.

2024 – Inauguration of the Indoor Multi-Sports Arena (Basketball court) at its Miramar campus

Sharada Mandir School inaugurated Goa’s first indoor multi-sports arena owned by a school, setting a new benchmark in sports infrastructure. Designed to support year-round training and competitions, the facility accommodates basketball, futsal (7-a-side football), badminton, and a
variety of other indoor sporting activities, fostering excellence in sports and holistic student development.

2025 – Inaugurated state-of-the-art STEAM Laboratories at its Miramar & Kadamba campuses

The laboratories were established to foster innovation, creativity, and future-ready skills by providing students with hands-on learning in Artificial Intelligence (AI), Robotics, Coding, 3D Design and 3D Printing, Programming, Game Development, and project-based technology education. The STEAM Labs were inaugurated simultaneously at both campuses, marking a significant milestone in the school’s commitment to experiential and technology-driven learning.

2026 – Inaugurated NAKSHATRA – Astronomy & Space Laboratory at its Kadamba campus

Creating a dedicated space for students to explore the wonders of Astronomy and Space Science. Featuring state-of-the-art infrastructure, interactive learning tools, and telescopes for celestial observation, the laboratory promotes scientific inquiry, experiential learning, and a
passion for space exploration.

2026 – Sharada Mandir School, Miramar established its Alumni Association

To foster a lifelong connection with its alumni. The Association aims to strengthen ties with the school, encourage networking and mentorship, and inspire alumni to contribute to the continued growth, excellence, and enduring legacy of the Sharada Mandir community.

2026 – Our Miramar school’s 60th Anniversary

This milestone stands as a tribute to six decades of excellence, dedication, and shared memories. It is heartening to see the enthusiastic collaboration between the alumni and the school community in planning meaningful activities that honour our rich legacy. These initiatives not only rekindle cherished bonds but also inspire present and future
generations to carry forward the institution’s values with pride. Together, we celebrate the past, embrace the present, and look forward to a future filled with continued growth and distinction.

With over 2,800 students, nearly 200 educators, 6 counsellors, 9 special educators, 4 Child Protection Officers, supplemented by administrative, support & security staff, within two thriving campuses, the institution continues to evolve—guided by a singular vision: to educate with purpose, lead with values, and empower students to shape the future with confidence and integrity.
