Sharada Mandir School, Miramar, celebrated the Graduation Ceremony of the ICSE and ISC Batch of 2026 with great pride and enthusiasm at the Kala Academy on 10th June 2026. The event brought together graduates, parents, teachers, and distinguished guests to commemorate the academic achievements and milestones of the outgoing batch.

The ceremony was graced by the Chief Guest, Ms. Punya Salila Srivastava (IAS) who is currently the Secretary in the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Government of India. She is also a proud alumnus and topper of our School in 1986. She delivered an inspiring address to the graduates and their parents, urging students to embrace challenges with confidence and determination, and emphasized the importance of integrity, resilience, and lifelong learning.

The function was also attended by Chairman Mr. Dattaraj Salgaocar, Vice-Chairperson Dipti Salgaocar, Administrator Mr. Oscar Gonsalves, and Principal Mrs. Sharmila Umesh, who congratulated the students on their
accomplishments and wished them success in their future endeavours.

A highlight of the evening was the recognition of the outstanding academic achievers of the ICSE and ISC examinations.

ICSE Toppers:

• First Rank: Kavin Acharya and Krishn Tarcar – 99.17%
• Second Rank: Athan Pereira and Avani Shenoy – 98.33%
• Third Rank: Vardhan Salgaocar – 98.17%

ISC Humanities:

• First Place: Anaya Do Rosario Mukerjie and Jfra Mariam Khan – 96.2%
• Second Place: Archita K. Prashant and Sharvari Siddhesh Prabhudesai – 95.4%
• Third Place: Bindusaar Chaitanya Dessai – 95.2%

ISC Science:

• First Place: Kayaan Chhabra – 96%
• Second Place: Rigved Rajesh Desaai – 95.6%
• Third Place: Anna Binu Samuel 95.4%
  

ISC Commerce:

• First Place: Shriyaan Krishnakant Kamat – 95.4%
• Second Place: Zillion Delion Afonso – 92.2%
• Third Place: Neha Elsa Kurian – 91%
  The toppers from the ICSE and ISC Humanities, Science, and Commerce streams shared their
  experiences and reflections on their academic journey. They expressed gratitude towards their
  teachers, parents, and peers for their constant support.

Sharada Mandir School, Miramar, on Thursday launched its alumni association with the installation of Shrinivas V. Dempo as charter president, along with the first executive committee, at a function on campus. At the event, chief guest Justice Valmiki Menezes of the Bombay High Court at Goa, an alumnus of the 1983 batch, described the occasion as a “homecoming”. He urged the new committee to play an active role in civil society. “Upholding citizens’ rights is something that all of us have a role to play,” he said, adding that the association should function as a constructive force rather than just a platform for reunions. He advised students to pursue their professions while also following their passions, noting that a balanced life is as important as career success. Dempo, a member of the 1985 batch said, “To return to the school which shaped my early years and take on this responsibility means a great deal to me. He said the response from alumni reflected their continued attachment to the institution. “That is what gives this association its purpose,” he said, adding that it aims to create opportunities for alumni to mentor, share experiences and contribute to the school. He also acknowledged the role of teachers. “Much of what we carry from here comes from them, and that stays with us,” he said. Chairman of the Board of Trustees Dattaraj V. Salgaocar traced the school’s evolution from its early days, when the campus had a lone building and a sandpit, to its present status as a modern educational facility. “For over 50 years, Sharada Mandir has been a place where friendships were formed and students set out on different paths,” he said. He noted that over the past two decades, the school has improved infrastructure. “The focus has been on strengthening facilities, encouraging curiosity and independent thinking and ensuring teachers have the space to do their work well,” he added, noting that the emphasis remains on character and integrity. He said the new association is more than a social club, calling it a “meaningful bridge” for mentorship and professional engagement. Dempo then administered the oath of office to the executive committee of the alumni association. The executive committee includes managing director of Advertising Associates Group and founder- editor of Viva Goa Kedar Dhume as vice president; company secretary, head of Legal and ESG at Kineco Limited Manisha Shirgaonkar as secretary; and chartered accountant Shilpa Deshpande as treasurer. Other members include Vishwesh Kamat, Nida Sayed, Devansh Cholera, Gina Maria Silveira, Rekha Jyothi Panvelkar, Sandhya Pai Vernekar, Gaurav Pradhan, Sanghavi Naik, Vedant Uddhav Pawar, Sanaa Razak, Louann Marie Alvares Sequeira and Ajit Parulekar.
